New Performance Venue! Record Breaking Crowd! Guest Musician! Same Great Performance from the Band!

The MidSouth Symphonic Band presented “Sounds of the Season” on Sunday, December 15, 2024.  More than 340 people were in the audience at Lakeview-Fort Oglethorpe High School.  The new Fine Arts Center there was a perfect backdrop for some old favorites and some new pieces.  Brittany Mari, guest harpist, played with the band.

A special guest, Shannon Whitfield, was recognized for his ongoing support of the band.  Mr. Whitfield was the outgoing Chair of the Board of Walker County, Georgia, where the MidSouth Band rehearses.  He oversaw many improvements to the band room during his tenure, for which we are grateful.
